Operating System

The operating system can be installed on bare metal, or within Hyper-V, VMware, or other virtual environments. It is recommended that the physical server be located within the production facility; however, satisfactory results are possible in remote server installations.

The following operating systems have been tested and are acceptable:
► Windows Server 2022 (Standard or Datacenter)

► Windows Server 2019  (Standard or Datacenter)

► Windows Server 2016  (Standard or Datacenter)
► Windows 10 (64 bit Professional or Enterprise)

.NET Framework Requirements

4.72 or 4.8

IIS Requirements

8.5 or 10

Minimum System Hardware Requirements

Minimum of 2 cores or vCPUs (4 is preferred)
16GB RAM (dynamic memory is fine)
System drive (C:) Minimum of 100GB
Data Drive (E:) Minimum of 60GB

Note: CPU and memory requirements are highly dependent on the size and speed requirements of the project. A large number of tags requiring a fast update rate will require substantially more available system resources than a system with a small number of tags and a slower update rate.

Ethernet Configuration

Two communication ports are recommended. One port dedicated to process/PLC data traffic, and the second connection dedicated to user and administrator traffic connected to the facility intranet. Please see our Typical System Architecture document for more information.
